Traffic noise is a serious problem nowadays, especially in high urbanized areas, with a significant area covered by residential, single-and multi-family buildings. Increasingly, GIS technologies are used for acoustic mapping. This article presents the results of studies regarding the designation of noise isolines using GIS tools. The study was performed for selected variants of the proposed section of the express road S-7 passing by the Łomianki Municipality. The obtained results allow to determine the extent to which part of municipality area is exposed to traffic noise. Designated areas was calculated for time of day and night consecutively.
