EuroCOW 2025 – EUROPEAN WORKSHOP ON CALIBRATION AND ORIENTATION REMOTE SENSING; Warsaw; 16-18 June 2025r

For many years, EuroCOW has been a biennial event aimed at bringing together global experts from both the public and private sectors to present and discuss the latest discoveries and achievements in the field of sensor calibration and orientation.

The pandemic caused a hiatus in the organisation of this regular event, and separate workshops were held on different dates and in different locations during Geospatial Week. Recognising the narrow focus of the workshops, their unique nature and the high standard of scientific discussion at EuroCOW over the years, we have decided to revive this event with the help of EuroSDR, ISPRS and FIG.

The organisers are creating the conditions for a practical, informative and informal three-day meeting in a friendly atmosphere and expect to attract genuine experts with practical experience in this field. The papers presented will be published in the ISPRS Archives.

For EuroCOW 2025, we invite submissions on the following topics:

General topics:

Orientation and calibration algorithms and procedures
Advances in INS, GNSS, timing technology and algorithms
New optical sensors and calibration procedures
Navigation, orientation, calibration and mapping using multi-platform and multi-sensor systems
Data fusion between active and passive optical sensors and navigation sensors
Multi-sensor navigation for autonomous vehicles

Special topics:

Advances in feature extraction using AI methods
Reliability and integrity measures with a focus on low-altitude UAVs
National and international controlled tests and test sites
Recent reliability of GNSS technology for sensor orientation
